Tell us about yourself?
Hi! I am 34 years old with two young kiddos. I work in hospitality so by trade my job is really fun! I love people and going out and trying new experiences - especially food! I am a big supporter of ensuring that my kids also learn to experience the world they are expected to live in so we travel as much as we can as a family!
How did you hear about Holly Douglas Boudoir?
I heard about Holly Douglas from a friend who did a session with her a few years ago prior to her wedding.
Why did you choose Holly Douglas Boudoir for your session?
Well, first of all - her style of photography is amazing. I love the artistic approach to each shot. Her studio is incredible and offers a lot of different options for shooting. I have followed her for years and also admired her work.
What made you decide to take the leap of faith and do a boudoir session?
What made me finally, actually book was 1. The pink tulle robe!! I knew I needed to wear it! and 2. I just felt like I needed something to remind me of how empowered and sexy I am after feeling like I was just a mom now. It definitely worked. It was so empowering and fun!!
Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?
I wasn't so much nervous, as really excited. I think that the level of communication prior really helped me feel prepared.
Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?
I felt like I was hanging out at one of my best friends place and we were getting ready to go out together. Arriving to the studio and meeting Holly just really solidified for me that I made the right choice. The music was great - they have literally thought of everything - and I work in hospitality so I pay attention to the details!
What was your favorite part of the experience and why?
I really enjoyed just getting ready - getting pampered is always fun - but the conversation flowed easily and it was so nice just chatting about everything and anything.
How did you feel during your session?
Awesome! The guidance in posing was easy to follow - even if some of the poses were like a straight up work out. If you take away one thing from the email - stretching is THE MOST important. I felt like I prepped well and I was definitely sore the day after my session :) But overall I really trusted the process - the positive encouragement - and getting to see some of the previews as we were shooting was a great motivator.
Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.
OH MY GOD. They were so good. I just felt like I was myself again... or reminded of who I was prior to kids and life and a billion responsibilities. So much of what I do is for other people and doing this for myself was totally worth it to see the pictures.
How has your relationship with your body changed since your session?
I feel more confident. I definitely am more excited to incorporate some more sexy wear into my life - whether it's being daring in going out or more empowered in the bedroom. Things that I thought I didn't like - when you see them photographed in such a sexy way really make you appreciate the whole package!
What would you say to people who say they can't do a boudoir session because they are too shy, nervous, etc?
You know - you only live once. If it's something you are on the fence about but feel shy - book with Holly - she will make you feel comfortable, she will listen to you and you will feel so great after. Spend a couple of hours for yourself and realize your internal and external beauty!!
Anything else you'd like to add?
Just everything about this far exceeded my expectations. I literally traveled from another state to do this session and I would do it again. I came back home on a high and I would really encourage anyone who is on the fence to just jump!!

Holly Douglas’ Story
Back in 2016, I was heavily involved in a moms' group, a community that became a second family. It was more than just a group; it was a sanctuary where support, love, and understanding flowed freely. One of our own, a fellow mom, found herself in a heart-wrenching custody battle for her daughter. Moved by her struggle, I wanted to help in any meaningful way I could. That's when the idea struck: hosting a boudoir marathon.
The concept was simple but powerful – a series of boudoir sessions for the moms in our group. The goal was to raise funds for our friend's legal battle, but something more profound unfolded. As I photographed these incredible women, something magical happened. I witnessed transformations, not just in poses or outfits, but in how these women saw themselves. They arrived nervous, some doubting their beauty, their worth. Yet, as the sessions progressed, I saw them blossom. Their confidence surfaced, their inner strength and beauty radiating through every shot.
This experience was a revelation. I realized that boudoir photography was more than just taking sensual pictures. It was an avenue for empowerment, a tool for women to see themselves as they truly are – beautiful, strong, and worthy. It struck a personal chord with me, resonating with my journey as a survivor of domestic abuse and sexual assault. I understood the transformative power of reclaiming one's body and celebrating it, free from judgment or fear.
From that day, I knew my heart belonged to boudoir photography. It aligned perfectly with my core belief – celebrating individual beauty, promoting body positivity, and fostering an environment of inclusivity. It wasn't just about creating stunning images; it was about the experience, the journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
Since then, my career has been dedicated to this art form. I've had the honor of working with a diverse range of clients, each with their own story, struggles, and triumphs. Every session is a new opportunity to empower someone, to help them see their beauty, both inside and out.
Boudoir photography is more than my profession; it's my passion and my platform to make a difference. It's a celebration of who we are, in all our unique glory. It's about loving ourselves, just as we are, and capturing that love in timeless images.
That moment, back in 2016, was more than just a fundraiser. It was the beginning of a beautiful journey, one that I am grateful for every day. As I continue this journey, I am constantly reminded of the power of a simple photograph to transform, empower, and celebrate the incredible journey of being a woman.
Courtney Bell’s Story
When I decided to open my first photography studio waaaay back in 2004, the very first person who ever called my professional business number was a woman inquiring about a boudoir maternity session (but this was back before boudoir was really a “thing”). She said, “I’m over 40 years-old and I’m pregnant with twins. This is going to be my one and only pregnancy, so I really wanted to document and preserve the memory of my pregnant body with some tastefully nude portraits. But there’s a catch…” She went on to explain that she was actually calling me from her hospital room because the doctor had decided a few hours earlier that it would be best to induce her a little ahead of schedule, and she was scheduled to deliver her twins THE VERY NEXT DAY! Without hesitation, I said, “As long as you’re in a private hospital room, I’ll pack up a backdrop and some lights and be there tomorrow morning!”
And that’s exactly what I did. I was able to successfully transform her private hospital room into a makeshift photography studio for a few hours the next day, and we took some really beautiful, artistic, nude portraits. Then, just four hours after I left the hospital, my client delivered the most gorgeous set of twins! :)
Let me tell you, booking a nude maternity session as my very first paid professional photoshoot made me feel SO BADASS as a young photographer! More than that, though, I immediately understood this experience meant so much more to my client and her partner than simply having some nice maternity photos. It was about documenting this precious time in her life and the changes her amazing body underwent while growing two healthy babies. (No pressure, btw!)
A few weeks later, when she saw the edited photos for the first time, she cried happy tears and told me that she and her family were going to cherish these portraits forever. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the moment my love of boudoir photography was born. (No pun intended.)
Twenty years later, helping women realize their worth and how beautiful they are is still my greatest passion. I’m so thankful and excited to have started the next chapter in my career as a proud member of the Holly Douglas & Co. professional boudoir photography team!

Tell us about yourself?
I am a 50 year old who recently married the sweetest, funniest, kindest, sexiest man on the planet! I am a mom of two and step mom to more. I love cooking, spending time with my family, sewing and crafting and traveling.
How did you hear about Holly Douglas Boudoir?
I was initially referred to Holly's Facebook group by a friend who had a session. I was super curious about boudoir and eagerly joined the group.
Why did you choose Holly Douglas Boudoir for your session?
Holly Douglas Boudoir does not take pictures of women in lingerie. Holly and her team create art. There is not other way to describe it. The use of light, expert posing and styling creates images that are of the highest quality. I knew that she could create something beautiful for me as well, despite my body issues. And, let me tell you she is a MAGICIAN when it comes to making you become comfortable in your skin. This was my second shoot and it was a couples shoot with my husband. He knew what an incredible experience I had the first time I had a shoot with Holly and was impressed by the images. When he agreed to do this with me, I knew the outcome would be amazing.
What made you decide to take the leap of faith and do a boudoir session?
I have seen the boudoir products friends have shared from other companies. The lighting is harsh, the backgrounds are drab and the posing is cookie cutter. Just because someone is wearing lingerie in a picture does not make it boudoir. Boudoir is more than that. With Holly, everything about each image screams boudoir. The use of props (like plants to shoot through to create unique visuals in the image) the texture of the fabrics on the furniture or backdrops, the subtle but sensual lighting all work in concert to create something beautiful.
Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?
I think everyone is nervous before a professional photoshoot. When you know you are going to be revealing your body in sensual attire to a stranger (until you meet her and then you are friends for life) it is natural to feel like your stomach is full of butterflies. Before my first shoot, I was convinced she would take one look at me and send me home. I am not built like a model, my body has curves, lumps and bumps. This time I was less nervous, but knew that feeling would evaporate when I entered the studio. My husband is smoking hot, although he sees his body flaws when he looks in the mirror just like I do. He was nervous before we got there but I saw him relax when he met Holly. And, he is an photographer, so they bonded geeking out over the camera equiptment!
Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?
Holly has a natural way about her that instanttly puts you at ease. She is genuine and sassy. It feels like she can see right into your soul and know who you are and what you need to feel empowered to make the experience the best it can be for you. She chats easily with you when you arrive, is a gracious hostess and sets the mood in the studio creating a relaxing vibe.
What was your favorite part of the experience and why?
My favorite part of this shoot was sharing it with my husband. Watching his face as Holly guided us through the poses was priceless. He loved seeing me in the lingerie but I believe he enjoyed feeling the sensuality in the poses with me even more.
How did you feel during your session?
The session flies by so fast that you forget you were nervous to begin with. The atmosphere in the room helps create a relaxed tone, leaving you to concentrate on the body shapes Holly asks you to create and not worry about anything else.
Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.
When Holly shared the initial pictures with us, we were BLOWN AWAY. My husband's jaw was on the floor from the beginning. The images on the screen were erotic, soft and sensual. As each image comes up on the slide show, we could not help but be captivated by the way we looked together. It was phenomenal.
How has your relationship with your body changed since your session?
My husband and I came away from our session feeling more comfortable in our skin. We have always enjoyed seeing each other but may have been more shy about our own bodies. But, we have become more open to our own image in the mirror since seeing the amazing way we look from the objective lens Holly uses.
What would you say to people who say they can't do a boudoir session because they are too shy, nervous, etc?
I believe everyone, women and men, will benefit from a quality boudoir session with the team at Holly Douglas and Company. To say you deserve to see yourself as a goddess or god is empowering and uplifting. No one on this earth has a body 100% free from flaws. But, what happens in the studio is that the flaws are disguised by the practiced way you are dressed, posed and styled. You won't see them in the final product and that is what everyone deserves to see!

HDCO’s New East Nashville Boudoir Studio is Officially Open!

HDCO’s New East Nashville Boudoir Studio is Officially Open!
After months of moving chaos - including a few small renovations to the new studio space, lots of organization, designing our new boudoir sets, and, of course, decorating - Holly Douglas & Co. officially opened our new studio doors to photograph the first boudoir session of 2024 just last week! The lovely Miss A. had the honor of christening our new space, and she gave us permission to share some behind-the-scenes photos from her photoshoot. So, without further ado, we are excited to present this first glimpse inside Holly Douglas and Company’s new East Nashville luxury boudoir studio!
Office / Glam Room
The first stop in Miss A.’s boudoir experience was our bright and welcoming Office/Glam Room. This room is set up with a well-organized glam station where our talented hair & makeup artists can fully pamper our clients before their photoshoots.
Our office desk and computer are set up next to the glam station, and this is where HDCO’s photographers, Holly Douglas and Courtney Bell, will conduct their clients’ same-day Image Reveal sessions after each photoshoot.
Being one of the smaller rooms inside the studio, we were surprised by how the Office/Glam Room manages to feel cozy and intimate without feeling crowded at all. There is actually plenty of space for the photographers and hair & makeup artists to comfortably work side-by-side. We also LOVE the gorgeous natural light that pours in through our East-facing window!
Client Closet
While Miss A. was having her hair and makeup done by our talented artist, Katie, Holly got busy pulling some wardrobe options from our amazing new Client Closet! Holly has spent years curating this fabulous, size-inclusive collection of fine lingerie and accessories for our clients to borrow for their photoshoots, but she’s never been able to display this impressive collection in a way that truly does it justice…until now!
This space in the studio is actually perfect for use as our Client Closet, as it is right outside the restroom/changing room door. Holly and her husband installed this beautiful, industrial-style closet rack system, and heavy curtains were hung to separate the closet from our kitchen area.
Main Living Area
With Miss A.’s hair and makeup camera-ready and her most flattering lingerie pieces chosen, Holly decided to begin her photoshoot in our studio’s Main Living Area.
This room is so spacious that we were able to create two living room sets in one area! However, because Holly decorated both sitting areas in her trademark, maximalist/eclectic style, both sides of the room still look cohesive. This means that we can photograph either side of the room as individual sets, but also photograph the entire space as one large set. Talk about variety!
Bedroom Set
Next up for Miss A.’s boudoir session was our feminine Bedroom Set. This room faces East and is next to our Office/Glam Room, so it also receives tons of gorgeous light! However, it’s a larger room than the office and features three beautiful windows.
When decorating this set, Holly combined both modern and vintage-inspired furniture/decor to give the Bedroom Set a soft and romantic vibe.
Library / Den Set
Holly saved our favorite boudoir set (so far) for last - the Library/Den set! We’re not really sure why this particular room in our new boudoir studio has been our favorite room since day one, but it has. It faces North, just like our Main Living Area, so it receives softer, more indirect light throughout the day, which is every photographer’s dream!
Holly wanted to give this set a much more masculine vibe, so she created a Library/Den featuring a bookshelf, leather sofa, leopard print armchair, wooden coffee table, plants, and several different lamps to give the space warmth.
Photoshoot Results
Overall, we are SO pleased with the photos that were captured during our first photoshoot at the new studio,! We want to thank Miss A. for signing a Model Release and giving us permission to share some behind-the-scenes images, as well the following photos from her boudoir session at Holly Douglas & Co.’s new East Nashville luxury boudoir studio:

I'm currently 28 and will be 29 in October! I am not married but I have a wonderful boyfriend and our 2 year anniversary is in September ^-^ no kids but I do have a dog and cat.

I'm pretty sure I heard about Holly through Facebook. And I signed up for emails by her too.
Why did you choose Holly Douglas Boudoir for your session?
Holly was the first person I came across and I had never done a boudoir shoot before so I was definitely interested too try it out!
What made you decide to take the leap of faith and do a boudoir session?
Well I love getting dressed up and made up and something like this just made me think and feel like a model.
Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?
I was at first. I was nervous about whether or not I would forget anything important the day of or if my body would decide to break out or have random bruises everywhere (ya girl is clumsy and i bruise soo easily) and if those could be edited.
Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?
Yes! Holly talked to me like we were old friends and She's got such an inviting energy that we talked pretry much the whole session! It also helped me relax when she said she could easily edit out bruises and break outs.
What was your favorite part of the experience and why?
My favorite part was probably the posing. We had good music playing and she was SO encouraging and the best hype woman ever! Every shot she would comment about how amazing and how gorgeous they were 🥰
How did you feel during your session?
I felt great! The atmosphere was welcoming and energetic. I had so much fun!
Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.
I was blown away, I didn't know I could look like that! Holly gave me a whole new perspective of myself that I didn't know I had.
How has your relationship with your body changed since your session?
When I get my pics back I'm gonna frame them and put them on display so whenever I start to doubt myself I'll have a reminder of what I really look like and to be nicer to myself. I'm feeling pretty confident!
What would you say to people who say they can't do a boudoir session because they are too shy, nervous, etc?
I would say to do it! You won't regret it! Holly is an artist with the camera, and she takes gorgeous photos and coaches you on how to get the best poses and helps you pick outfits that look good with your skin tone!
Anything else you'd like to add?
I really liked that Holly did check up emails 2 weeks from the shoot to up to the day before to see If I had any questions and reminders on what to bring and how to prepare for the photoshoot!

Age 48 - divorced 1 year - 2 children — 12 year old son and 6 year old daughter - the absolute loves of my life. Nurse practitioner who loves her job— Following a devastating romantic break up and my mom’s death from bone cancer in Oct., my life—- alcohol use that was once occasional, increased- depression set in and poor self worth evolved. With that being said, at the shoot I was celebrating 80 days of sobriety !! I did the shoot for self esteem and self celebration from my freedom from alcohol and I hope to look back at the photos as a reminder of how well my life has improved both mentally and physically. In spare time, I love to work out - cook and read.

Yes I was nervous - pretty much just stripping down in front of a stranger.

I did - Holly helped so much and that I actually did more nudity than I ever, ever expected I would. Can’t believe I did actually.

We are SO EXCITED to finally announce that Holly Douglas & Co. are in the process of moving into a BEAUTIFUL new studio space located in East Nashville, Tennessee!
That's right! Beginning in 2024, Holly Douglas & Company will no longer have two separate boudoir photography studios. We are consolidating the luxury boudoir experience previously offered at the downtown Nashville studio and the classic boudoir experience previously offered at the Gallatin studio and taking things to a WHOLE OTHER LEVEL at our new East Nashville studio location!
You guys, this space is incredible, and we cannot wait to begin photographing boudoir sessions here! Trust us, the “before” pics shown below do not do it justice, nor do they show off the entire studio space. (Not pictured: A spacious restroom, a large Client Closet area, our “portrait nook,” client lounge, and a very nice, updated kitchen!)

Good lord, where do we even BEGIN?!?!
For starters, the building itself used to be an old church, so it's full of character and charm. Exposed brick and beautiful wood floors everywhere!
Secondly, our new studio is much larger than any of our previous boudoir studios! This incredible space is a whopping 1700 square-feet and contains MULTIPLE different rooms, allowing us to offer a wide variety of sets during every boudoir photoshoot! (And did we mention the gorgeous exposed brick and beautiful wood floors throughout?)
The new Holly Douglas and Co. location is in a great little neighborhood, right in the heart of East Nashville, with plenty of parking available. (BONUS!) So, during the one-hour break between your boudoir photoshoot and same-day Image Reveal, there are plenty of local shops and restaurants nearby (some within walking distance of our studio) for you to explore and enjoy!
The Holly Douglas and Co. East Nashville luxury Boudoir Studio Officially opens in January, 2024!
While we have already wrapped up the boudoir sessions for 2023 that were scheduled at the luxury downtown studio, we still have a number of 2023 boudoir sessions scheduled at our classic boudoir photography studio, Studio 110 in Gallatin, TN. If you currently have a boudoir session scheduled with us there in 2023, your photoshoot will still take place at that location. Otherwise, all future boudoir sessions, including those that have already been scheduled to take place in 2024, will all be in our new East Nashville studio, located at 1101 Chapel Avenue, Suite 202!

At Holly Douglas & Co. in Nashville, TN, we understand that embarking on a boudoir experience can raise many questions. Therefore, we've compiled a list of the top 12 most frequently asked questions that we are asked about our boudoir sessions to guide you through the process seamlessly.
How early Should I Arrive at the Studio, and What If I’m Late?
Listen, Nashville traffic sucks, and we totally understand that. So, on the morning of your photoshoot, we highly recommend checking your GPS app to see what your estimated travel time will be to our studio in East Nashville and try to plan accordingly. It is always a good idea to leave a little bit early to allow for any unforeseen delays, but if you happen to arrive in our parking lot ahead of schedule, we kindly ask that you wait until your scheduled appointment time of 10:00am. to come to our door. There is no need to come any earlier, as the photographer and/or hair and makeup artist are not typically set up and prepared for early arrivals.
If you find yourself running late, please notify us as soon as possible. While we strive to accommodate, it's essential to be mindful that tardiness may impact the duration of your session. However, if you are more than 30 minutes late for your appointment, we will unfortunately have to cancel and reschedule your session.
Do you offer hair and makeup services?
Hell-to-the-YES, girl! No boudoir session is complete without a bomb, photo-ready finish. The Holly Douglas & Co. team includes some of the very best hair and makeup artists in the Nashville area to serve our clients with top level artistry.
Many of our clients tell us they barely wear makeup, and/or they have no idea how to apply makeup for the camera. If this is you, then have no fear…We are going to take great care of you and get you the makeup look that suits you and your personality best.
What Should I wear for my Boudoir Photoshoot?
We have created a beautiful and comprehensive Wardrobe Guide that should give you the 411 on how to look and feel like a bombshell for your session. Our policy is always, “When in doubt, bring it…or let us style you!” It’s not uncommon for our babes to show up with several pieces of their own lingerie. However, if you don’t feel like shopping or stressing about what to wear, we will be more than happy to style you from our studio’s amazing, size-inclusive Client Closet! From there, we’ll hang up all your chosen wardrobe options, including the pieces you’ve brought, and discuss which ones will flatter you most. Feel free to leave tags on in case you’d like to return the ones you didn’t end up shooting in!
For our booked clients we also have another guide that will instruct you on where to shop! We know the world of lingerie can be overwhelming, so we do our very best to take as much stress off of you as possible. It gives you direct links to all of our favorite lingerie retailers, thier price points, and what we love about them.
What if I can’t look like the other women in your Portfolio?
We’ll let you in on a little secret…all the women on our website believed they couldn’t look like the other women on our website, either! Crazy, right? Because here you see them being so fierce and so confident, but we can assure you that they were just as nervous and full of self-doubt as you are right now. They all showed up, put their trust in us, and let us coach them through the whole day.
There is no such thing as the perfect body or age for boudoir. Our ONLY restriction is that you must be over 21 to book a session at our studio. Beyond that, no woman is ever considered too big, too small, or too old for a boudoir experience. Boudoir is for everybody. Let us show you.
Can you make me look thinner with Photoshop?
We want to help you feel beautiful NOW, just the way you are. We flatter you with hair and makeup styling, a wardrobe that compliments your figure, and amazing lighting and posing techniques to highlight your best ass-sets (see what I did there?). However, we do not believe in heavy photoshopping. Don’t get us wrong, we will gladly remove all of your bruises and pimples, but we don’t want to over-manipulate your body to make you look like someone you are not. We already live in a time where we are consumed with unrealistic bodies in the media. We want to show you that you are beautiful at this very moment.
What Will I do with Boudoir Photos, Especially if I’m Single?
We believe that a boudoir session is the best gift you can give yourself, to capture your essence as you are now. When you need a reminder of the strong, beautiful woman that you are, you will have a collection of amazing portraits to look upon. We love it when women come to us for themselves. The images we create together will boost your self-esteem and your confidence, and that should be celebrated by you! It will help you reclaim your femininity, your sexuality - two things that are often lost as we get consumed with our lives, our jobs, our families. Put that pep back in your step and reflect on the bodacious babe you are. Celebrate the body that you live in!
When Should I Book a Session if I need My Photos Back By a Specific Date?
Our studio books up 4-6 months in advance, and our printed products can take up to 8 weeks for delivery. Therefore, if you have a special occasion coming up or wish to book a holiday appointment, we recommend booking 6-8 months in advance of that date.
Can I bring someone with me to my session or image reveal?
We do not allow guests to be present for any portion of the time you spend at our studio. Our services are best delivered on a one-on-one atmosphere with your complete, undivided attention.
Are there any Photos included in the retainer Fee?
No. The retainer fee starts at $750 and is required to reserve a space on our calendar. The retainer fee includes:
30 minute pre-session consultation
Private use of the boudoir studio
Professional hair and makeup application (faux lashes included)
Access to our Shopping and Wardrobe Styling Guide
Up to 90 minutes of photography with complete posing and expression coaching
Access to premium experience upgrades
2 wardrobe changes

How Much Should I expect to Spend at my Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment?
That’s a tough one, because it’s hard to predict how many images and/or products you’re going to want to purchase before your photoshoot. Some women order just a basic album, while others decide they want it all and invest several thousand on a variety of products. The one thing we can tell you for certain is that our minimum purchase point is $1275. So, you can expect to spend at least that much. You are, of course, welcome to upgrade from there and purchase as much as you’d like.
What Payment Plans or Financing Options are Available?
For some of our clients, the boudoir experience can be an investment that is worth careful consideration. For this reason, we have created financing options that make buying what you love a lot more accessible.
Below are programs that some of our babes are utilizing to have the luxury boudoir experience of their dreams. If you’re going to treat yourself, let us help you do it right.
How Long Should I expect to be at The Studio The day of my Boudoir Session?
In total, you should plan to spend around 4-5 hours at our luxury boudoir studio on the day of your session. That includes about an hour break in between the photoshoot and your same-day Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment. During that break, you can grab some lunch, explore the various shops in our adorable East Nashville neighborhood, or enjoy a relaxing massage (if you added that option to your boudoir experience prior to your appointment). During that time, your photographer will be going through your boudoir photos and preparing a beautiful slideshow presentation of your images. The Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment usually lasts until around 2:00 or 3:00pm, depending on how decisive you are. ;)

Hello! I am 47 years old. I am a mom of 4. I have been divorced for almost 7 years. I have spent that time relearning who I am and all my likes and dislikes. I am a morning person and want my cup of coffee first thing. I absolutely love everything about the beach. I want to travel and experience all there is to see. I love sports especially basketball and I love listening to music.

I saw Holly’s ad on FB. I wanted to reconnect with myself again. I felt as though I lost who I was when the divorce happened. Divorce takes a lot from you especially your confidence as a woman and in your own body. Over the past year or two my body has been going through changes ( thank you 40’s ) and I wanted to prove to myself that I am desirable and I still have it lol
What was your initial reason for booking?
To feel beautiful again. To feel sexy and desirable. Nothing like rejection to completely take your confidence as a woman. I had to prove to myself that I have an identity and am enough outside of the pain and rejection of divorce
Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?
I was super excited. Yea I was a little nervous about my body because let’s face it, it is not what it used to be. That whole midlife thing is real lol. I have never had my hair or makeup done professionally and outside of my wedding night have never worn lingerie. I knew from looking at past clients posts that Holly would make me feel like me- SEXY
Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?
I was most nervous about my body. I don’t like what being in your 40’s has done to my body but instantly Holly made me feel so comfortable in my skin! Thank you for that Holly!
Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?
Holly is super easy to talk to. She knows her craft and she makes you feel at ease, no matter your body type. She gave me confidence to not be ashamed of my body, but embrace it

I felt AMAZING! I felt so beautiful! It was a major confidence booster for sure.

Speechless! I cried. I could not believe it was me.
What was your favorite part of the experience and why?
My favorite part was having my hair and makeup done and seeing my images at the end. I was in awe that I could look that way. Divorce/rejection can make you hide in darkness but to see myself in a different light meant everything.

Yes, I lack self confidence at times and was concerned I could not look the way I wanted to see myself in the photos.

Holly made me feel comfortable as soon as she opened the door and we met. We talked and laughed and had so much in common. She helped me pick out the most flattering outfits that boosted my confidence and guided me though the positions during the photoshoot.

The confidence I felt! During the session I felt relaxed, comfortable, confident and deserving of having photos to represent the beauty of my body.

I had tears of excitement and a loss of words as it took my breath away! I kept thinking that is ME on the screen! I saw a confident beautiful woman that I had never visualized in myself. I was blown away!

What made you decide to take the leap of faith and do a boudoir session?
I went through a bad divorce a few years ago. The relationship was over years before that but I had to come to terms with it being over. Over the last couple of years, I've done therapy and processed everything I went through. During that time, I've been learning to love myself, inside and out, and to be confident in the person I am. But I wanted to see myself through the eyes (and camera) of a stranger. Someone who wasn't saying nice things about me because they were friends and family or someone who was saying anything to break me as a person. But to see me just as I am. To see through what the “world” considers beautiful and sexy.
Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?
It was more of a nervous excitement! I like being in the “know”. So I was nervous about not knowing what I should expect or how things would turn out. But I was determined to get the full experience so I let go of control and let Holly make all the decisions - how my hair and makeup would look, the best choices in what to wear, all of it!
Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?
Holly is in her element. She made me feel comfortable and at ease. She was professional but still made me feel like I was there with someone I'd known for years.
What was your favorite part of the experience and why?
My favorite part was Holly showing me a picture had just taken from the camera. No filter, no editing…it was just me what what she saw. And at that moment I wanted to cry. Because what I saw on that camera was a beautiful woman who was confident, sexy and comfortable in her own skin! My goal for the shoot had come to fruition.
How did you feel during your session?
I was 100% at ease and loved all of it. I can't remember the last time I took a few days by myself, for myself!
Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.
Oh, my brain was on overload! I was trying to capture every moment and detail during the slideshow. It was like an out of body experience. “I know that's me on the screen but how can that be me?” I will say I did have moments looking at some pictures and thinking I didn't want them because of how my stomach or butt looked. Holly could see the fear and anxiety in the face. She looked at me and said, “Don't! Don't delete that picture. You don't see what I see when I look at it.” And she was right, I didn't see what she saw and I may not for some time. But I needed that picture because one day, I'll appreciate It and remember where I was at that time in my life.
How has your relationship with your body changed since your session?
I had come to embrace my body leading up to my shoot but capturing those moments and images has boosted that embrace even more!
What would you say to people who say they can't do a boudoir session because they are too shy, nervous, etc?
I promise you that you will be supported in every way you need. It's like walking into this amazing bubble of safety. It may seem like a mountain but close your eyes and jump. The landing is sweet!
Anything else you'd like to add?
Get the bigger package/session! I thought going into the session the hardest part was going to be arching my back or holding some contorted pose. But honestly, the hardest part was choosing which pictures I loved the most and the ones I could be okay with deleting. I would have never been able to only choose 35 pictures!

I choose Holly for the quality of her work. The photos shared were beautiful, glamorous, natural, tasteful, & HOT, HOT, HOT! A complete work of art! The best way I can describe it, Holly's work didn't have the look or feel of the earlier years glamour shots. Hair, make up, lingerie/clothing, sets, everything was contemporary.
What made you decide to take the leap of faith and do a boudoir session?
It took a bit to work up the courage to book my own session. I was going through a rough patch of life & decided on the fly boudoir photos were the thing I needed to bring me out of the funk.
Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?
My first session with Holly, I was really nervous. I was concerned that I was spending money for this experience & pictures but would it be worth it? Would my shots be as beautiful as what I'd seen posted? There was no way she could make ME look like a model! I felt Holly would do the best she could but I just knew my shots would feel awkward & unnatural. I was not nervous for my second session with Holly. My nervousness was the result of trying to decide what lingerie would look the best on me & if I'd find the studio & not be late for my session.
Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?
Holly. Just Holly. I was worried I would be late and I was because I did not read directions very well. When I arrived & met Holly for the first time it was like being with a good friend. She made conversation, showed me around the studio, looked through the lingerie I brought, asked about my preferences, & described what to expect. Holly has a calming & peaceful nature that puts you at ease. For the second session my nerves relaxed when I showed up ON TIME with a whole bag of lingerie, bras, & panties!
What was your favorite part of the experience and why?
My favorite part of my first session was the reveal! I didn't look like an 80's glamour shot model at all! I was shocked. The shots were beautiful! My favorite part of my second session...EVERYTHING! I was able to enjoy the entire experience without the nerves & just live in the moment.
How did you feel during your session?
Beautiful. Sexy. Free. Annddd a little awkward. Modeling ain't easy! I should have done more stretches before my session.
Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.
In awe! Speechless. It was hard for my brain to process, that's MY BODY in those pictures!
How has your relationship with your body changed since your session?
My first session was a definite confidence boost. I never knew I could look like THIS but here we are! I was going through a rough patch when I scheduled my first session & life didn't get any better for several months after my session. The confidence & constantly looking at these works of art helped me through many low days. My second session reaffirmed that I, without a doubt, am a bad bitch!
What would you say to people who say they can't do a boudoir session because they are too shy, nervous, etc?
Can't never could. Won't never will. When I talk to someone about my session & hear this, I ask why - I won't be pretty. I have cellulite & fat rolls. I can't strike a pose. Or whatever the response may be. Well...I thought or felt the same way. I'm just a clumsy, average girl with the same fat rolls, cellulite, & insecurities. It's an amazing experience you won't soon forget & you'll have pictures for the times you need help remembering that you are a special, strong, beautiful woman! Speak up if you're shy or nervous. Holly & her staff will help, but they can't help unless they know of the issue.
Anything else you'd like to add?
I have a love / hate relationship with my body. I was always the fat kid. I weighed over 300 pounds when I graduated from high school & then gained almost 100 pounds in the first few years after high school. In my early 20s I started to change my lifestyle a little at a time. I started going to the gym even though I hated everything about the gym. Instead of a diet I controlled portions. If I had a craving for chocolate cake, I had chocolate cake...but only a piece instead of the whole cake. Life happens & over the next 20 years my weight fluctuated widely. Each time my weight went up I told myself, NO! I would go back to the gym & controlling portions. In 2021, I was down 175 pounds from my heaviest weight. I decided it was time to remove some of the extra skin so I could see the muslces I had worked so hard to make. November 2021 I had a fleur-de-lis tummy tuck. November 2022 I had an extended arm & breast lift. January 2023 I had lipo 360 & upper thighs. I needed this session for myself, for my own peace of mind, & to know that the image I see in the mirror is really ME!
