I was most nervous about how things would go throughout the shoot, but that just comes with doing something I haven’t ever done before.
Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?
I was definitely more comfortable once Holly explained how things will be transitioning, etc. throughout the shoot.
What was your favorite part of the experience and why?
My favorite part of the session was seeing my images after shooting. I honestly was not prepared for how gorgeous they turned out!

I felt comfortable and safe in Holly’s hands. Her direction was easy to follow especially for someone who has never done any type of photo shoot before.
Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.
I teared up the first time I saw my images as I was overwhelmed with the beauty! They are absolutely breath taking! As a woman, I felt beautiful for the first time in a long time and your photos helped me see and feel that!
How has your relationship with your body changed since your session?
I feel more confident and comfortable with my body after my session.
What would you say to people who say they can't do a boudoir session because they are too shy, nervous, etc?
I would tell them to book with you ASAP! You made the experience everything I dreamed it could have been and so much more!

Why did you choose Holly Douglas Boudoir for your session?
Her website. I was going through photos and fell in love with her personality just by reading through her website.
What made you decide to take the leap of faith and do a boudoir session?
I took boudoir photos for my husband as a gift for our 1st anniversary. We have 3 kids and have been married 14 years now, so I had been going back and forth with doing another session. Once I saw her website, I knew I had to do it. It was meant to be.
Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?
I was extremely nervous. I was nervous I would be so awkward and uncomfortable and that it would show in the photos. I was also nervous that I wouldn't love seeing my body in photos, that I would be too critical of myself and be self-conscious.
Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?
As soon as I walked in the door and met Holly, I felt comfortable. Her personality in person is just like she comes across on her website. She made me feel like a total babe. During the session, she would cheer and high five me when she got a good shot. She even showed me some of the photos during the session, which ultimately made me more confident and comfortable.
What was your favorite part of the experience and why?
I don't think I can pick one favorite because the entire experience was amazing. I loved getting my hair and makeup done onsite so I didn't have to worry about messing anything up during travel. I brought my own lingerie options but ended up using Holly's selections. I loved that she had so many available options and she ultimately told me which ones to wear for photos. I would have never been able to decide on my own and I love how honest she was with me about what worked and what didn't. I also loved that everything was done in one day, in one location, including the review of photos.
How did you feel during your session?
I was nervous at first but that quickly went away. By the end of it, I felt like a bombshell.
Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.
I cried. I felt beautiful, sexy, and so grateful I decided to do the photoshoot.
How has your relationship with your body changed since your session?
My confidence has grown so much since my session, and even more-so now that I've seen the final photos. I've had three kids. I'm 37. Yet somehow Holly managed to make me feel confident about my imperfections during the shoot and she captured me in the most beautiful, raw way. I've never seen myself the way I see myself now when I look at these photos.
What would you say to people who say they can't do a boudoir session because they are too shy, nervous, etc?
I get it. It's hard to let your guard down and be vulnerable, especially for women when it comes to our bodies. But we do hard things. Our bodies do hard things. Women are amazing. Own it. It's totally normal to be nervous and shy, but I promise you won't feel that way for long once you start shooting with Holly. Girlfriend knows what she is doing and she is damn good at it! Take that leap of faith. You won't regret it.

Why did you choose Holly Douglas Boudoir for your session?
I love how all her pictures look!! I compared her work with a couple other local boudoir photographers and hers looked more classy and professional.
What made you decide to take the leap of faith and do a boudoir session?
I turned 44!!! I’d been wanting to do a shoot for several years. 2022 was really tough for me. I needed something to help me see myself in a different perspective. I needed to do something for ME.
Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?
I was a little nervous because I wasn’t sure I could give the sensual looks I see other women have. I'm kind of goofy and clumsy!
Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?
I’d followed Holly on social media so long, it felt like we’d already met. We talked while she did my hair and makeup. Once the shoot started, she guided me through poses and how to hold my face to look “softer”.
What was your favorite part of the experience and why?
My favorite part was feeling like a model, posing in ways that made me feel sexy and trying on outfits I probably would have never considered.
How did you feel during your session?
I felt powerful!!! It was fun to learn ways of posing to look best on camera!
Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.
It was hard to believe I was actually seeing myself in those pictures. I actually cried during the slideshow! I needed to see myself as more than a mom and a wife and WOW. I remembered I still AM a sexy bi*ch!!!!
How has your relationship with your body changed since your session?
I'm definitely more confident. Even just sitting on the couch! One knee comes up, the other leg tucked, toes pointed, shoulders back and chest out….. yup. I know I look hot!!!
What would you say to people who say they can't do a boudoir session because they are too shy, nervous, etc?
Follow Holly on social media awhile! Especially watch some behind the scenes footage and photo reveals. Holly will have you looking and feeling fabulous in no time. She will guide you through every pose to highlight how beautiful you are. Seeing the pictures is so worth a little bit of nervousness.

What made you decide to take the leap of faith and do a boudoir session?
It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I just never found a photographer who’s pictures spoke to me.
Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?
No.
Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?
Holly is just an easy going person. She makes you feel like you’ve been friends for years.
What was your favorite part of the experience and why?
Having my makeup done.
How did you feel during your session?
During my session I was completely comfortable. Holly is your greatest cheerleader.
Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.
Seeing my pictures was the only time I honestly felt nervous. I am completely comfortable with who I am and what my body looks like. But seeing it still in front of you is very different.
How has your relationship with your body changed since your session?
It hasn't changed much. I am a big girl who is quite comfortable in her skin. Even though so many people tell me how beautiful and sexy I am… that I never saw in myself. That is until now. I needed Holly to capture what everyone else already saw. And did she ever!!!
What would you say to people who say they can't do a boudoir session because they are too shy, nervous, etc?
I'd tell them oh yes you can! EVERY woman should do this for herself at least once.
