I am a physician who is transgender. My practice serves transgender patients in transition.

How did you hear about Holly Douglas & Co and what made you want to book with us?

I found Holly on the internet.

What was your initial reason for booking?

My initial objectives were simple. Recently separated and actively dating again, I realized that pictures were the new medium for dating. I wanted a few well-done photographs. My expectations were limited.

Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

I had no expectations going into the shoot.

Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?

I was not nervous beforehand.

Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?

Holly is an excellent teacher. I followed her directions.

How did you feel during your session?

The emotional experience was once in a lifetime. I felt emotionally like a woman throughout the entire day. Holly taught me feminine mannerisms and expanded my perspectives on my future dress as a woman. The makeup artist clarified lessons I had previously taken from my makeup coach.

Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.

When I first saw the images, my perspectives on Bella and her future changed. I recognized early Holly’s unique gifts as a marketing genius. During the shoot, I recognized her unique genius in producing transformation. My initial objective was to purchase five pictures and place them in my office to benefit my patients in transition. As we talked, Holly empowered me by expanding the use of the images to promote the successful transition of my transgender patients.

What was your favorite part of the experience and why?

Holly was invaluable in my transition before the photoshoot. I was actively wearing wigs. With Holly’s advice, she directed me to Lauren Keck for hair extensions. Lauren's work on my hair was exceptional, and it significantly enhanced my look. Holly also recommended Wendy McNeal for eyelashes and eyebrows. The combined advice of Holly, Wendy, and Lauren provided extraordinary insight, allowing me to accelerate my transition and feel more confident

Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery?

Because of my transformation during the shoot, I now dress in executive feminine clothes daily. Because of my lessons from Holly, I am adding to my hair extensions from Lauren. Because of my lessons from Holly, I will add classic eyelashes from Wendy. Holly was instrumental in enhancing Bella's identity.

What advice would you give to another Person considering a boudoir experience with Holly Douglas & Co?

The concept of femininity is frequently lost in busy American life. American medicine ignores the fundamentals of female sexual medicine. Tell us about yourself?

I am 43, have 5 children and 1 grandson. Four biological daughters and an amazing bonus son. I will be getting married in October to his dad. We cannot wait.

How did you hear about Holly Douglas & Co and what made you want to book with us?

I saw Holly through Facebook. I follow a couple other boudoir photographers, and always drawn to Holly's posts over the others. I love the blog posts and learning how others decide to go for it.

What was your initial reason for booking?

Initially I wanted to do this for myself, see myself in a different way. The closer my day got the more I wanted to give it to my fiance as a birthday gift. Well long story short we were finally able to set our wedding day for Oct this year. Now I want to give him the photos then. If I can wait until then!

Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

My expectations going in were to have fun with it, and become confident as we take the shots.

Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?

Yes, I was nervous, as I do not wear makeup or lingerie. Not knowing what would look right or be the right color, or could I really be nude and let my picture be taken in this way?

Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?

As the makeup went on and my hair was done I just started feeling like WOW look at me! The 3 of us just chatted about life while my makeup was being done. Courtney just casually asked me questions about why I'm doing the shoot, what kind of outfits do I want? I told her whatever she thought would look good. The way we just talked about whatever really made me feel more comfortable.

How did you feel during your session?

At first I was like oh boy this is gonna be interesting… Watching Courtney pose so I knew what to do was a great help. Once we started taking the pics and she showed me one I felt like ok then..let's have some fun!

Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.

When I first saw the images it felt amazing. I loved every single one. How was I going to choose which ones to keep?

What was your favorite part of the experience and why?

My favorite part was getting to just let what happens happen. I did not know how I would feel about taking these pictures going in but Courtney made me feel at ease and together we picked out the outfit and went for it. The whole day was nothing short of amazing.

Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?

My self confidence has risen for sure. I am able to now see myself differently than I did before this shoot. I can finally see what he sees!

What advice would you give to another woman considering a boudoir experience with Holly Douglas & Co?

Do it, just do it. If you're thinking about it and have any doubts at all reach out in the group or to Holly and Courtney. Everyone is so helpful and encouraging. If you want to but the price is stopping you, you can make payments!!

I would definitely recommend Holly Douglas to anyone. As someone who wasn't sure about it but wanted to so bad, these ladies are the best!

Tell us about yourself?

I’m a single mom of 4 beautiful kids (1 is deceased). I work 2 jobs and 7 days a week. My oldest son is in the military and I’m so proud of him and my other babies! I work at Walmart but, I have a nursing degree which I feel is my calling. After 40 years I’m still listening and loving the New Kids On The Block!! My only expectation was to give Holly and Courtney full reigns of everything and to trust them with my life!

Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?

I at first was nervous about wearing/not wearing clothes. I’ve been ashamed of my body for years and I never ever thought for 1 second that I’d be taking pics with little or yet no clothes on at all.

Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?

It didn’t take long for me to become comfortable with Holly and Courtney. They listened to me and made me feel like a Queen! They made this day just all about me! The wine helped too lol…

How did you feel during your session?

I had so many emotions going through my head! At first I was just trying to calm my nerves but, once we got started it was perfect!! Courtney was going “Live” yet at the same time my photographer (Holly) was yelling “Look at that ass!!!”, and a few others which really kept my mind occupied with laughter!! Perfect day!!!

Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.

I cried like a baby!!!! I absolutely fell in love with my pics!! I can’t believe how beautiful I was!!!

What was your favorite part of the experience and why?

During the shoot was my favorite part because I felt free!! I felt free to let it all out, I felt free to just be the old me!!!

Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?

The changes and impacts were I at first thought couldn’t believe that I was walking around half naked without reaching for something to cover up and the impact of it is that I’m a little more open than being closed off like before! I have that confidence back now and I’m stronger than ever!!

Tell us about yourself?

I’m 31 years old, recently eloped. We have a little girl we are raising together as legal guardians. We met when I had first gotten custody and he has been the rock for us. I was terrified of becoming a single mom. I work at an engineering firm for ten years and recently purchased our forever home in our quiet little town.

How did you hear about Holly Douglas & Co and what made you want to book with us?

I’m from a very small town, everyone knows everyone. I decided I wanted to do the shoot and we really don’t have any photographers for boudoir in my area. Mr. Google came through as always with options. After speaking with staff, reading testimonies online, and looking through the online gallery, Holly Douglas & Co seemed to be the best fit. The initial phone interview with my questions was much more relaxed and comforting than other companies I spoke with.

What was your initial reason for booking?

My initial reason for booking was to surprise my husband with a gift before our wedding. Just a little something different and spicier than our normal routine.

Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

I don’t know that I really had any expectations going into the shoot. It was my first time and I was really hoping that I had it in me to get through the shoot. I can be a very awkward person, sometimes shy - I guess my biggest expectation was that the shoot could make me come out of my shell a little more.

Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?

As stated previously, I’m an awkward person. I was extremely nervous. I wasn’t confident in myself, my size, I had recently broken my foot and scared that I wouldn’t be able to do all of the positions/things the photographer asked of me due to still having some limitations.

Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?

I became more comfortable the moment Courtney and the hair and make up lady (I’m terrible with names and apologize, Megan, maybe?) were just talking to me throughout the entire beginning stages of something a simple as hair and makeup. Just the conversations and finding similarities in our lifestyles made me instantly feel more comfortable and be able to be more confident going into the shoot.

How did you feel during your session?

I felt AMAZING during the shoot. Courtney had great ideas, she helped me find the rest of my confidence once the session actually started. We got through the second pose and I instantly began feeling like a model. She’s definitely the best hype woman!

Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.

I was shocked with myself when I saw my images for the first time. I have been so uncomfortable in my own skin, little confidence, so upset about my recent weight gains - Then I saw those photos! I couldn’t believe that was the same person I see in the mirror every day. And also for someone who has always felt a little awkward, I truly felt sexy for the first time ever! Who is this woman?

What was your favorite part of the experience and why?

My favorite part of the experience was honestly, as silly as this seems, trying on all of the lingerie that Courtney had picked from the closet and seeing how each piece looked on me. I’m always timid about those things, scared things won’t look good, I don’t have the body for this, etc. So to try on that many outfits and feel so confident that I had a hard time narrowing down to two was honestly my favorite part of the experience. Because doing this actually allowed me to pick something I would have NEVER chosen for myself, even as I was getting ready to try it on I was leery and said there is no way this will work - It was my favorite of them all!

Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?

The confidence! The way I feel when my husband looks at me. Before, I thought there is no way this man truly finds me this attractive. I felt as though he just tried to make me feel better. After seeing those, the way I feel about myself has made me feel all around so much better! I never knew I could look that good with so much showing!

What advice would you give to another woman considering a boudoir experience with Holly Douglas & Co?

I would tell anyone to leave all of the negative thoughts at home! No matter how you feel about yourself, you will never imagine how much confidence you could gain from this. I would say every woman should experience this at least one time, just because of the way it has boosted my own self esteem.

Would you recommend Holly Douglas & Co for the luxury boudoir experience to others?

I would definitely recommend them to others. I have actually already spoken to several friends in my little small town like GIRL, you’ve got to do this at least once! They did a wonderful job of making me feel welcomed from the moment I had my first conversation with, Jiri (maybe?), keeping in contact and making sure things were still going okay, if I had any questions they were quick to be answered, great tips as to how to prepare yourself for your appointment. Gained a lot of weight from the passing of my dad was unable to drop it.

Uh after about 5 mins - I was completely feeling SO amazing!

At first with the weight I had gained and everything I read about stretching - I was worried I wouldn’t be able to do the sexy poses or it would show on my face.

Cried - I was in total disbelief that was ME! I was SO amazed - I felt the way my husband sees me. I purchased 70 pictures….if that doesn’t say it all!

Tell us about yourself?

40-something single mama of a sassy self-assured 13 year old daughter who has more confidence in her "big back self" (her own words) than I ever had at her age. I am also the chief caretaker for my mama after she has powered through a major stroke a few years ago. I love my people with all I have and get my "me time" thanks to rediscovering my love of reading. I also have the support of a stellar man who has been so patient with me as I work through the trauma I didn't even know I had after being married to a man who some might call a covert narcissist. His love and encouragement have brought me back to finding myself again, which is still a work in progress.

How did you hear about Holly Douglas & Co and what made you want to book with us?

I have followed Holly Douglas & Co on all the platforms for awhile now. The care they take with each client--helping them see themselves in a new light is exactly what I wanted to find for myself. I have waited and waited for "the right time" to take the leap for myself, but you know what? The right time is right now! I'm learning to celebrate each day and to be a champion for myself. I have so many dear friends and family who cheer me on and let me know how proud they are of how far I have come since the divorce. Believing them, though--that has taken some time. My choice to finally contact Holly Douglas &Co came when I saw a post from a mid-size QUEEN who owned her curves and found her inner goddess through the process. After reading about a casting call, I knew I had to save up my pennies and work my side hustle like never before to give myself the chance to have that powerful experience I needed.

What was your initial reason for booking?

I am always telling my daughter to "do the hard thing"...it is the only way we grow. Well, seeing myself from a different lens is very hard for me. I recognize I let someone else's hateful words be my inner dialogue for far too long. Now that my narrative is changing and I am discovering my worth once more, I needed to do the hard thing and give myself a chance to (literally) see myself as one who has beauty and is worthy of being desired by a man who shows me more love than I have ever known in a relationship before.

Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

I felt pretty prepared going into the shoot because I had obsessed over all the stories and blog posts! I knew the quality of work that I was walking into, but I was convinced I was going to be the one that made Holly Douglas &Co reconsider their life choices. I have always photographed like an awkward new baby dear caught in headlights. Even as a short woman, I often try to hide behind folks in pictures. So, to be front and center for an entire photoshoot was honestly terrifying.

Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?

I was excitedly nervous! I was excited because I knew these ladies don't put out trash pictures, so there was hope in that. I think my biggest insecurity, aside from my outstanding awkwardness, was what outfits would possibly look good on my body. I'm built strong, with tree trunk legs. I have the 3 B's (boobs, booty, belly) covered and then some, but I was so worried about it being too much to make beautiful.

Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?

The minute I met Courtney, I was at ease. After the hair and makeup fairy godmother finished with me, I was even more convinced ya'll had tapped into some sort of Goddess dust. Courtney had so many outfit choices pulled for me from the FABULOUS client closet--things I would have never chosen for myself. She made me try on every single thing and her encouragement helped me pick outfits that were so out of my comfort zone, but looked so good when I got out of my own way and saw them the way she did.

How did you feel during your session?

Courtney's enthusiasm for what she was seeing through the lens, even from the first pose...MAGIC to my insecurities. And what she showed me every couple of shots almost made me cry in the best way. Who was this woman?? There were poses and angles that were hysterical to try and get into (and out of--talking to you, library couch), but it was all an amazing, transformative journey for me. By the time we got to the playroom set, I was another person. That lying voice in my head was gone, and in its place was Courtney, telling me how brave I was being and how much fun this was.

Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.

I stared in disbelief. That wasn't me! I mean, it was, obviously, but what the what?! And then, as the pictures continued scrolling, I saw, for probably the first time, how important it was to keep my chin up. Not just talking about pictures and angles...but in general. I was so much stronger, more confident, more poised in the images with my chin up. And if that isn't a life lesson, I'm not sure what is.

What was your favorite part of the experience and why?

My absolute favorite part of the experience was seeing the unedited images as we were shooting. The absolute confidence that brought to the battle that was going on in my head--especially early on--was the key to shutting up those insecurities! And then, expecting to only have a handful of images that I liked, to having to whittle down because there were so many I was obsessed with?!

Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?

I never would have imagined being so in love with what Courtney captured. Yes, angles and lighting, and those cool little camera bobbles helped, but the woman in those images was fearless and knew her worth. It's hard not to walk away from this experience feeling like a badass. After this experience, I immediately messaged my friend group and told them what I had done. I cried over how absolutely gorgeous those proofs were. I told them that this jumpstarted a new chapter for me--the "idgaf because I am worthy" chapter. So, yes. Things have changed: I wear the 2 piece swimsuit to the pool now. I wear the red shoes. I go to the grocery without a stitch of makeup. I literally hold my chin up high. I use my words when my needs aren't being met. I am changed, and I am better for the experience.

What advice would you give to another woman considering a boudoir experience with Holly Douglas & Co?

My advice--don't wait. Don't wait for another minute. Do it for YOU, not for a partner. Do it for the 86 year old you, who is going to look back at these pictures and remember your badass, sexy self. Do it to tell that lying voice in your head to sit down and STFU.

Would you recommend Holly Douglas & Co for the luxury boudoir experience to others?

I have already recommended Holly Douglas &Co to anyone who will listen----even without having seen my edited pictures yet! The experience alone has been worth every single dollar. Who needs therapy when you can wear gorgeous outfits, have your hair and makeup done to perfection, and have another badass woman shout about how stunning you are in that light?!

Tell us about yourself?

I am 42 years old. I am divorced. I have 2 children. My daughter is going to be a senior in high school and my son will be a freshman in high school this year. He still thinks I'm cool because I drive a Camaro (21 LT1). I have been a single, full-time mom for 9 years. My kids are my world! I have 4 cats. I love the color pink. I am obsessed with dragonflies! I like white wine and relaxing on the couch with a glass of wine at the end of the day.

How did you hear about Holly Douglas & Co and what made you want to book with us?

I looked up boudoir places and Holly Douglas had amazing reviews and beautiful pictures. I found the FB and IG pages and was blown away.

What was your initial reason for booking?

I have been through a lot of things in my life that should have broken me, yet I'm still here. People keep telling me how strong of a person I am. I don't feel that way all the time. I recently got into a bad wreck and almost lost part of my hand and severely bruised my leg. My hand will always be scarred. It took a lot for me to accept the fact that I will never look the same or be able to do the same things again. I felt ugly. I'm also getting older now.

Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?

I was nervous about showing so much of my body to a total stranger. I was surprised at how comfortable I was.

Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?

I became comfortable almost instantly. The conversation was easy and my questionnaire about my preferences had been read.

How did you feel during your session?

I feel great! I was a little sore the next day. My ankle hurt from pointing my toes 😆. I was warned for weeks to stretch and I didn't do it as much as I could've. But, it was worth it!

Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.

I was so amazed! I looked HOT! And beautiful! And, I looked like ME still. It almost brought tears to my eyes.

What was your favorite part of the experience and why?

I just enjoyed playing dress up and having someone focus 100% on me for a day. I always focus on everyone around me-kids, boyfriend, dad, friends. It was so much fun.

Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?

I have never thought I was ugly, but I have never thought I was a 10 either. I truly felt like a model and realized that I can wear lingerie and look sexy in it. My body is sexier than I thought it was.

What advice would you give to another woman considering a boudoir experience with Holly Douglas & Co?

It seems scary and expensive, but it is one of the easiest and most freeing experiences of your life! It is worth every penny too! I was so concerned with what to wear & I was styled & didn't even need to worry. But, now I have new lingerie to wear for my boyfriend 😉

Tell us about yourself?

I just turned 40! I am married and a mom of two boys and a business owner. I am also going back to school to become a licensed aesthetician. I love music and travel.

How did you hear about Holly Douglas & Co and what made you want to book with us?

Honestly, I found you on Google as I was looking around near my area. I thought your pictures were beautiful that you had photographed of other clients and decided to give you a call.

What was your initial reason for booking?

My initial reasons for booking were because I was turning 40 and I wanted to remember where I was in life and wanted some beautiful pictures to remember where I’m at now. Also, I was looking for something to encourage myself to be happy with who I am.

Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

I did not have any expectations. I knew it was going to be very nice as far as the studio and was very excited to meet Holly as I had spoken with her a couple times prior to the appointment.

Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?

I was a bit nervous considering I had decided to do nudes - something that I would normally never do in front of a stranger, especially being photographed. Just being able to be comfortable enough to stand in front of somebody was a big deal.

Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?

I became comfortable immediately as Holly’s personality was very bubbly and super sweet along with Megan, her make up artist. Offered refreshments and made sure I had what I needed and she made picking out a wardrobe really fun. She’s very body positive as well.

How did you feel during your session?

I was excited during my session. I also felt empowered and sexy at the same time. I loved seeing her create and explain moves that she wanted me to do and how the photo was going to be captured. It was very interesting and a lot of fun.

Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.

Honestly, I thought I was going to cry because they were so good. There were some images that were not my favorite, which we deleted, and there were some things about the way I looked that I wasn’t initially comfortable with, but I realized when she pointed out the things I did not like that they really were beautiful and feminine. She allowed me to see myself in a different way that was positive.

What was your favorite part of the experience and why?

Absolutely loved getting my hair and make up done and trying on different lingerie. Taking the photos was a lot of fun. I liked going around the studio and trying different poses. Honestly, the whole day was wonderful. Holly truly is a professional boudoir photographer, and her personality just shines! I felt like I made a new friend!

Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?

I realized that even though I’m not at the size I want to be and I am still working on myself that I’m still beautiful and that everybody is Beautiful and their own way. I also realized it’s OK to have curves and I see myself in a more positive way.

Tell us about yourself?

I’m a 41 year old mother of four; a 21 year old, a 20 year old, and soon to be 18 year old twins! I am a nurse practitioner. I love being outdoors. I love hiking, kayaking, camping, fishing, and shooting guns. I am recently divorced, so I have loved starting household projects and buying tools. Home Depot is probably my favorite store these days. I love to hate taking care of my 7 acres and the dream house that I have. I love music. I love doing silly things like go kart racing and arcades and trampoline parks, amusement parks, and water parks. I love the water. I love the beach. I love traveling, but when I travel I usually stick to the less touristy places off the beaten path. I have cats and dogs. I love to cook and bake, especially for the people I love.

I have seen Facebook ads and they are all gorgeous!

What was your initial reason for booking?

I’ve been divorced about four years, after being married for 20. It was a terrible relationship; he was very mentally and verbally abusive. I was not allowed the freedom to do anything for myself. I am now with the sweetest, most caring, loving, supportive, and perfect man. I wanted to do something for me, but also for this man that I am completely in love with. I wanted pictures of me feeling confident, sexy, and beautiful, both for me and for him. I never had the confidence or support to do anything like this until he came into my life.

Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

I thought I would be much more nervous and shy, but Courtney made me feel at ease! I had seen pictures of the boudoir sessions before and everyone’s are always so beautiful! I really expected to only like 3 or 4 of myself, but there were probably 50 that I LOVED…and just the raw pictures without photoshop!!!

I was nervous that I would be too shy to open up and get the pictures that I wanted.

Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?

I was so comfortable, really through the whole process! Courtney was really wonderful. She was so happy and helpful. She didn’t make me feel uncomfortable for a second!

How did you feel during your session?

I felt pretty and sexy throughout my session. I really felt like I was getting some good pictures, though I wasn’t prepared to love literally ALL of them.

I was really in awe of how good they were. I never like pictures of myself and could not believe that she had so many good ones!!!!

What was your favorite part of the experience and why?

I don’t think I can pick a favorite part! The whole experience was wonderful, from the hair and makeup to the picture reveal! I am so glad I did it!!!

It has definitely helped my body image. Seeing and loving the raw, untouched images was such a confidence boost. I didn’t expect to love them so much! I can’t wait to get the pictures back!!

Tell us about yourself?

I’m 32, work as a travel nurse. I love being outdoors, especially in the mountains. I’m embracing a new found confidence in my body and prioritizing my peace.

How did you hear about Holly Douglas & Co and what made you want to book with us?

I was looking up boudoir shots on TikTok and instagram because I never knew about it and was looking for *spicey* posing tips. I loved the energy I saw from the behind the scenes, helping with posing etc, I’m like oh….I mean if I have someone directing me I can get shots like that? Hell yes sign me up! And then they had a casting call, I’m like okay let’s give this a shot.

What was your initial reason for booking?

I’ve been embracing that dark feminine side of myself I always thought I should hide and this seemed like the way to step outside my comfort zone and embrace the confidence I’ve been working on building. Let’s get some hot shots and be like damn, I did that! Something I can treasure forever and eventually scar my kids with someday.

Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

I honestly tried not too think too much before going into the shoot, I just kept telling myself to trust the process. I was afraid of scaring myself out of it, I knew this was, like, what you guys did so you’re the experts. I just needed to have faith that I was gonna look good or realize this ain’t for me after. But I didn’t expect to see the shots of myself that I did!

Obviously nervous I wouldn’t look good, or feel ridiculous during trying to be sexy when I feel like I knew nothing about it, ya know? Plus I’m like, I don’t own a lot of flashy lingerie so I was nervous nothing would fit or I’d look frumpy.

Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?

Oh 1000%. We laughed about posing, Holly made it a relaxing environment and so much fun. She explained the posing and the reasoning behind why I was holding poses the way I was which helped.

I was nervous at first, but then after getting into it I relaxed more. By the end I was feeling great about myself

I was shocked, which I feel like everyone expects you to say. But I mean from remembering how I was posing to seeing the results it was really shocking.

It’s hard to say because I enjoyed getting all “dolled up” but I also had fun during the actual shoot and viewing the images.

Tell us about yourself?

I am 35 years old. I have two kiddos. 15 year old son and a 10 year old daughter. I have my oldest son full time and my youngest still goes back and forth to her dad’s. I work full time at Lendmark Financial as a loan consultant. I have two fur babies. A Pomeranian and a cat.

How did you hear about Holly Douglas & Co and what made you want to book with us?

I had a facebook friend invite me to the Facebook group. After being in the group for months I saw how beautiful these other female pictures were and I wanted to feel and look that way.

What was your initial reason for booking?

I really just wanted to experience having a photoshoot done. I’ve always been on the conservative side. I’ve also gained some weight over the last year and I haven’t felt like I looked good. Clothed and not clothed... I was married and divorced. My marriage wasn’t the best. Lots of verbal, mental, and some physical abuse. Lots of “you’ll never find anyone that’ll be with you after two kids”. Stuff like. I wanted to feel and look like how all those other females looked.

Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

I wasn’t sure what to expect.

Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?

I was so nervous before the shoot. It was an excited nervous. But more nervous about the whole being half naked in front of someone I didn’t know. Heck I try to cover up being intimate with my partner lol. This is the heaviest I’ve ever been. So I worried about how I would look.

After I got to the studio and I was getting hair and makeup done I had calmed down some. But Courtney and the stylist made me feel so relaxed by just talking and asking me questions.

During my session I felt comfortable. Relaxed. It was exciting by this point!

I couldn’t believe the person in the picture was me lol. I was completely blown away. I definitely felt like I looked hot.

Think my favorite part of the session was me actually feeling comfortable enough to be half naked in front of a stranger and her taking my picture. Me realizing I can look like all those other ladies. In my own way.

After seeing my pictures after my photoshoot. I have to say I don’t feel as embarrassed about my body. We are going to the beach in a month and I’m looking forward to getting in my bathing suit.

It’s definitely an experience you have got try at least once. You won’t regret it! I believe it makes you think differently about yourself afterwards. In a good way.

Tell us about yourself?

I’m 45, been married for 22 years and have a teenage daughter and a lazy Labrador. I enjoy traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with my family.

How did you hear about Holly Douglas & Co and what made you want to book with us?

I’ve followed HD&Co for a couple of years. I’ve always wanted to do a boudoir shoot but my insecurities held me back. A lot of things have changed in my life over the last few years and I’ve come to realize that I am holding myself back from being my true self. My own insecurities and sense of shame held me captive for most of my life. I didn’t even realize it until I was faced with some tough decisions. Holly can take women who feel the way I do and bring out a side of us that we want to explore in a comfortable and safe environment. I know how I see myself now, but Holly captured me in a way that I couldn’t even dream possible.

What was your initial reason for booking?

I wanted to explore a side of me that I knew existed but never let anyone see.

Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

I had none. I was open to trying everything offered. I was ready to put myself out there and gain a greater sense of freedom.

Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?

Yes. I was nervous about being able to pose properly and finding the right outfits for my body type. Holly was able to calm my nerves, help me find outfits, and was very patient with me in guiding me through the posing process.

Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?

Very comfortable. Holly was reassuring and coaching me the entire way. She would show me shots after poses and that encouraged me even more because I couldn’t believe what she was able to capture.

How did you feel during your session?

I was nervous but the nerves died down as we got further into the shoot.

Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.

I was in disbelief. It was so hard to make a decision on which photos to purchase. I definitely advise upgrading to a larger package for a higher selection of photos. I changed my package twice.

What was your favorite part of the experience and why?

I can’t pick just one thing. The entire shoot was amazing and I will do it again.

Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?

I appreciate my body more. I’ve spent years trying to change my body and make into something better - what I determined as better based on what see in the world. I’m content with the body I have now and I wear what I want. A bra strap showing use to be risqué for me, but I’ve moved beyond that and I’m enjoying the freedom I have since letting so many things go.

I’m 46 and married to my husband of 27 years. We have 3 children and the most important member of the family a granddaughter. I work at a small boutique if I’m not shopping or watching my granddaughter.

I’m a 48 year old woman who has been married 28 years to my high school sweetheart. We have three incredible children. I’ve been a nurse for the last 26 years and love taking care of people. We moved to Tennessee from New Orleans a year after Hurricane Katrina.

How did you hear about Holly Douglas & Co and what made you want to book with us?

I have been a member of the Facebook community for years. I’ve always wanted to have a session with Holly but was very nervous due to a previous bad boudoir session. After years of stalking Holly's page I jumped in and booked a session. Best decision ever!!!! I saw how people looked and what everyone said about their experiences at the studio. I knew I had to make my move and schedule a session. So glad I did.

What was your initial reason for booking?

I wanted to see myself the way my husband sees me. Everyday my husband tells me I’m beautiful but I’ve never had much self confidence. I always wanted to be sexy like everyone’s pictures I saw from their boudoir sessions.

Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

I expected to come in and like some of my pictures. I loved them so much. It was painful to not get every print. I expected to have fun being pampered. It was wonderful form the moment I walked in the door. It was so much fun having a day to focus on me. I knew I would hate any nudes I would take. Boy… was I wrong! I loved my nudes! Every single one of them.

Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?

Yes, I was nervous. I wanted to take nudes but was afraid what I would look like. They were amazing! I was afraid with my joint issues I wouldn’t be able to do any sexy poses. I told Holly my limitations and she adjusted poses that worked with my body and injuries. Holly literally did the pose and then I mimicked her. If I couldn’t do it, she would change it up. I was nervous for no reason.

Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?

As soon as I walked in the door my nerves calmed down. Holly was so welcoming and made me feel like I’ve known her forever. We just talked while she fixed my hair and makeup. After us talking, I wasn’t nervous at all.

How did you feel during your session?

Amazing! I had so much fun. Before even seeing my pictures, I knew I’d be back again. It was such a life altering experience.

Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.

Like a goddess! I cried when I saw my pictures. I couldn’t believe I was looking at me. I never saw myself as sexy but in my image reveal I was like, dang I am sexy!

What was your favorite part of the experience and why?

I cannot pick one part. The entire day was an amazing experience. As the day went on I could feel my self confidence increasing.

Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?

I look at my pictures every single day. When I’m having a day I don’t feel as confident, I look at my app and all my confidence comes rushing back. I no longer look at this flaw or that flaw of my body. I see me as an amazing and powerful woman. I now feel confident and sexy. I cannot believe I now have a closet full of lingerie!

What advice would you give to another woman considering a boudoir experience with Holly Douglas & Co?

Do it!!!! This experience will help you grow as a person. Trust the process. Read the emails. They help you prep and pump you up. Don’t worry about poses, they are experts and know how to catch you at your best angles. They know how to highlight the beautiful person you are! Do it! Don’t wait. It’s so very worth it!

Absolutely! Holly Douglas & Co are the absolute best! Nobody else evens comes close to them!!!!

Tell us about yourself?

38 yrs old, registered nurse, married with 5 kids and some grand children. I live on a farm , with goats, horses, pigs, honey bees, 2 dogs and several barn cats. For fun I enjoy reading, fishing, hunting, kayaking and horse back riding.

How did you hear about Holly Douglas & Co and what made you want to book with us?

Facebook. What made me book was seeing the before and after photos posted.

What was your initial reason for booking?

Work too much, outta shape, and just started not loving myself or what I seen when I looked at photos of myself or in the mirror. I had hoped it would make me see a side of myself I had lost.

Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

Not really. Just hoped I didn't look awful in the photos.

Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?

I was nervous that I would spend a lot of money and these photos were going to be awful and I would have wasted a lot of money on something I didn't even want to look at.

Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?

No I did not, but had I, I am sure I would have been comfortable quickly because Holly and Courtney were like talking to old friends from the get go.

How did you feel during your session?

I had so much fun I forgot that I felt like I looked disgusting and shouldn't have any of my skin showing. I literally had the most fun I had in a while.

Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.

Like I could actually be featured on something , like dang I could have been a model lol. I was very astonished that even before editing I looked really good.

What was your favorite part of the experience and why?

The neon lights set, I mean because glow paint and an 80's feel , I mean come on.....it was too much fun.

Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?

It has made me want to get in better health so I can do another shoot and see even better pictures, if that's even possible.

What advice would you give to another woman considering a boudoir experience with Holly Douglas & Co?

Ummm, girl, just do it, but definitely get the bigger package because you’re gonna want 98% of the photos she took and it's too hard to narrow it down.

Tell us about yourself?

I am 26, recently married and we have two fur babies, Otis and Allie. I work in the cardiac cath lab When we’re not working, we love all things outdoors!

How did you hear about Holly Douglas & Co and what made you want to book with us?

I have followed Holly Douglas and Co for a WHILE on IG. I always wanted to do a boudoir shoot but never really felt that I had a good enough reason to make the investment.

What was your initial reason for booking?

I booked the session to make a photo book as a gift for my husband at our wedding. At the end of the day I had gotten SO much more out of the experience than just a gift for my husband!

Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

I wasn’t sure what to expect honestly. But after seeing the portfolio online and comparing to other companies, I knew Holly Douglas and Co was the BEST option!

Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?

I was pretty nervous! I have struggled with body dysmorphia for as long as I can remember. Even though I knew my now husband would love the photographs, I was really nervous I wouldn’t. I knew going into the session I would leave either feeling like absolute sh*t about myself or leave with confidence through the roof! Thankfully, I left my session feeling on top of the world!

Did you become more comfortable after the session started?

If so, what helped to relax your nerves? Yes I did! Courtney was so thorough in coaching and really hyped me up with each pose! Once I saw a peek of the first photo she took I was ALL in!

How did you feel during your session?

During my session, I felt a little silly in some of the poses thinking, “There is no way this looks good,” but once I saw my gallery I understood the vision for the photo! With each outfit change Courtney continued being my own personal hype girl! Never for a second that day did I feel anything less than beautiful! The ladies at Holly Douglas and Company are like your own personal hype girls! I was ready to book again before my shoot was even over!

Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.

My first thought was “ no way that’s me” And filtering through and choosing my favorite photos was SO hard! Because ALL of the photos were amazing!

What was your favorite part of the experience and why?

It’s hard to pick a favorite, but if I have to choose… My gallery reveal was my favorite part! I saw myself and my body in a whole new light!

Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?

I think I haven’t been as hard on myself for drinking beer and eating tacos, ya know? So what if I have a couple rolls when I sit or hip dips. I’m still sexy and beautiful and 100% worthy of feeling like I am!

What advice would you give to another woman considering a boudoir experience with Holly Douglas & Co?

Two words DO IT!!! Whatever your reason for not wanting to, get that out of your mind and just do it! You will have a blast and leave the studio feeling like a million bucks!

Tell us about yourself?

I am 61 years old. I turn 62 in April. My husband passed away last September. I wanted to do a photo shot for me. I spent the last 8 years taking care of my husband that went through 2 cancers, 2 heart surgeries and a mini stroke. My late husband and I retired to Ecuador 3 years ago. I came back to the Nashville Area in March for the birth of my 1st great-grandchild.

How did you hear about Holly Douglas & Co and what made you want to book with us?

One of my daughter-in-laws invited me to join the Facebook group after I lost my husband. So when they did the Black Friday Special and I had the dates to return to the states, I bought and booked my session.

What was your initial reason for booking?

I had never done anything like this before, but my outlook on life has changed a lot of the past 6 months. Life is too short not to do new exciting things. You never know how much time you have.

Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

No not really, I had read other blogs , so knew it would be fun, and it was. Totally felt at ease during the whole process

Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?

Being 61 and plus size, I was nervous about wearing the skimpy outfits, but I shopped around and found things I was comfortable wearing yet revealing. Brought more outfits than I needed, but it gave them plenty to choose from and the ones they picked were perfect for the different rooms and shots.

Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?

Once I arrived I felt very comfortable. Everyone was great at explaining the process and made me feel right at home,

How did you feel during your session?

Completely at ease, the shots that we were trying to accomplish were not only explained but actually showed to me, I am a visual person so that helped tremendously,

Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.

First I was blown away at how many images were taken. I was impressed with a lot of them before any were even edited or touched ups were made.

Seeing the images and feeling so pretty and sexy, how they really made my eyes pop.

It helped me to actually make sure the outfits I brought I was comfortable in and they fit. I had several that I thought I would like but wasn’t comfortable with how they looked. So I would have been disappointed if I brought the ones I thought I wanted the photo shoot in. So do your homework about your outfits.

Would you recommend Holly Douglas & Co for the luxury boudoir experience to others?

Absolutely, they always answered any of my questions and were quick to reply to emails.

I’m 39 and single stay at home mom of two boys, 13 and 10. I became a single mom almost 3 years ago when my husband unexpectedly passed away. I have the best dog (basset hound) named Poppy. I absolutely love hockey and I am a huge Preds fan.

I have always wanted to do a shoot but always self conscious and never comfortable in my own skin. I am turning 40 in October and this is the year to do things out of my comfort zone and thing I’ve always wanted to do and stop holding myself back.

I didn’t really. I had looked at the portfolios before and knew the pictures would be beautiful.

I'm a 41 year old blissfully married woman. Originally from Nashville, my husband and I are childfree with two shelter dogs. I am a human rights advocate who loves writing and various forms of artistic expression.

How did you hear about Holly Douglas & Co and what made you want to book with us?

I heard about Holly from Facebook and through Courtney. It sounded like an awesome opportunity and I grabbed it! Holly's work looked amazing and I had to do it!

What was your initial reason for booking?

I wanted to have the experience: play dress up and have an awesome time. That's exactly what happened!

Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

My expectations were met AND were exceeded. I prepared for there not to be makeup or clothing that would match me but it turned out beautifully and I had an abundance of options for looks. Very surprised!

Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?

I was a bit nervous. I was coming in using a walker, wearing medical devices and with one good eye. [Miss E. is a Type I Diabetic and recently broke her leg.] I hadn't met Holly yet. I wasn't sure how much I was going to need to explain or advocate for myself. Neither was needed, accommodations were happily made and we had an absolute blast!

Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?

I became extremely comfortable once I met and giggled with the ladies. I talk quite a bit so conversations are greatly appreciated. Explaining each step and why was very helpful.

How did you feel during your session?

Awesome! It felt natural and a lot of fun.

Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.

Surprised is an understatement. Seeing the look come together and seeing myself right there in the middle was awesome! It looked like me, just a while lot spicier!

What was your favorite part of the experience and why?

I honestly really enjoyed every part of it: meeting the ladies, checking out the studio, perusing the outfits, deciding on the best looks, the makeup, the laughter, the posing, the conversations and the big reveal...each portion was so much fun, I can't pick one part.

Tell us about yourself?

I've recently turned 40. My partner and I have been together for over 12 years. We don't have children but we do have 2 bunnies, so it's like having 2 permanent toddlers with attitudes. I've worked in a blend of health, fitness, and rehab for over 20 years and I'm fortunate enough to be an adjunct instructor in my field.

How did you hear about Holly Douglas & Co and what made you want to book with us?

I started seeing boudoir photography pop up on my TikTok feed so I started just looking at local companies as my 40th birthday approached. HDCO and a few others were at the top of my list, but after comparing images and costs, it was easy for me to feel comfortable that they were the ones that were right for me.

What was your initial reason for booking?

My first one was a gift to myself as I approached my 40th birthday. I also had never really had professional makeup and hair done and certainly had never had boudoir photos done. So, mostly, I had this burst of, "I'm going to do this for me because I want to and I deserve it."

Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?

I tried not to. I've learned over the years that professionals know what they're doing and they'll guide you because that's what they do. I think being open to see what the experience was helped me to not have nerves.

Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?

A little bit. But everyone was so warm and welcoming that disappeared immediately. I did get a rush of nerves in those seconds right before you see the pictures, but those were good, excited nerves.

Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?

Absolutely. I think it helped that the atmosphere was casual and chill, not uptight and rigid. It think it helps that I'm close in age to the photographer (s) and makeup artist so listening to music we all knew and talking made it seem like having coffee with friends.

How did you feel during your session?

It was just so fun. Both photographers I worked with were so encouraging and genuinely excited about their shots. The vibe was just very focused on taking great pictures and having a great time while doing it.

Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.

Sometimes holding the poses you feel awkward or strained and it's so wild how you don't look strained or awkward in any of the images. I was afraid I might not like any of them, but some of them I honestly couldn't believe they were actually me because they were so incredible!

What was your favorite part of the experience and why?

I love pictures and organizing them, so I love sorting through and deciding what to keep (although that's also a little tortuous). I also love talking about the outfits I brought and figuring out what accessories and shoes they look best with.

Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?

As I went through my 30s, I became so aware of the misogynistic and agist noise we absorbed and wanted to take back the idea that 40 was old. I'm not old, I'm an adult. I'm strong, I'm mobile, I can pick up heavy stuff. And you can see that.

What advice would you give to another woman considering a boudoir experience with Holly Douglas & Co?

Do it. There's no right or wrong person or age or body shape or type. All the nerves are good nerves. Do it for you.

Would you recommend Holly Douglas & Co for the luxury boudoir experience to others?

Absolutely. It's probably weird how much I encourage people to do it (like the girl who was ringing me up at Lululemon the day before my shoot).

I just really love that this is an option for women and want to help be a voice to normalize it.
