Tell us about yourself?
Me…..50 yrs old, 3 daughters with 4 bonus daughters, 11th grand baby expected in Nov (10 girls 1 boy), married 11 yrs, 24 acre farm w 4 Bernese Mountain dogs, 1 Yorkie, 9 cats, 7 cows, 5 chickens and Bob the Beta Fish! Currently Safety Director of a trucking co.
How did you hear about Holly Douglas & Co and what made you want to book with us?
Found Holly as I was considering opening a room in my house & my property for photography rentals.
What was your initial reason for booking?
Coming from years of physical abuse - I found someone who truly loves EVERYTHING about me - I thought I was doing this for him.
Did you have any expectations going into the shoot? What were they?
Just to have some pretty/little sexy pics made for my husband.
Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?
Gained a lot of weight from the passing of my dad was unable to drop it.
Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?
Uh after about 5 mins - I was completely feeling SO amazing!
How did you feel during your session?
At first with the weight I had gained and everything I read about stretching - I was worried I wouldn’t be able to do the sexy poses or it would show on my face.
Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.
Cried - I was in total disbelief that was ME! I was SO amazed - I felt the way my husband sees me. I purchased 70 pictures….if that doesn’t say it all!
What was your favorite part of the experience and why?
I want to say every moment BUT that moment I saw the first picture….I will never forget it!
Has anything changed for you since your boudoir experience and seeing your gallery? How has boudoir impacted your body image as a woman?
Yes - I see myself in a completely different light! My photos are in a digital frame that I gave to my husband and every time I see em…..I have that shack factor!
What advice would you give to another woman considering a boudoir experience with Holly Douglas & Co?
Do it…..I look forward to doing it again!

I am 52 years old with an amazingly handsome and supportive husband. We have 2 kiddos, 2 cats and a doggie. I have a rewarding career as a nurse. We love adventures and having fun as a family.

Why did you choose Holly Douglas Boudoir for your session?
The angles, lighting and way she captures photos of her clients caught my eye. She has clients of all shapes and sizes displayed on her site.
What made you decide to take the leap of faith and do a boudoir session?
Casting call was a plus and the encouragement from my husband.
Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?
Yes, I lack self confidence at times and was concerned I could not look the way I wanted to see myself in the photos.
Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?
Holly made me feel comfortable as soon as she opened the door and we met. We talked and laughed and had so much in common. She helped me pick out the most flattering outfits that boosted my confidence and guided me though the positions during the photoshoot.
What was your favorite part of the experience and why?
The confidence I felt! During the session I felt relaxed, comfortable, confident and deserving of having photos to represent the beauty of my body.
How did you feel during your session?
I felt at ease and Holly absolutely helped boost my confidence which make me feel beautiful and sexy! And FUN. It was so much FUN!
Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.
I had tears of excitement and a loss of words as it took my breath away! I kept thinking that is ME on the screen! I saw a confident beautiful woman that I had never visualized in myself. I was blown away!
How has your relationship with your body changed since your session?
I am kinder to myself! I am no longer letting negativity take control of how I see my body. I am worthy of feeling my beauty.
What would you say to people who say they can't do a boudoir session because they are too shy, nervous, etc?
I felt the same. Holly made me feel welcome from the beginning. She boosts your confidence, she’s compliments your assets and shows you what to do every step of the way. During the photo shot her excitement is contagious! Holly makes you feel special, beautiful and sexy!

No I really wasn’t. I was so excited!

Holly is very down to earth! We laughed a lot ….made things so much easier.

The sexy outfits ….I love to dress up. Now I have photos I look sexy as hell in!!

At ease. Posing is some work but Holly did the pose …all I had to do was watch and then do it myself.

Oh my gosh I was in love!

You can show as much or as little as you choose. You are still in control. Everything Holly asks you to do makes for an amazing photograph!

I chose Holly Douglas because she featured beautiful women of all sizes.
What made you decide to take the leap of faith and do a boudoir session?
I've always secretly wanted to do a boudoir shoot. I've had some big life changes recently, and I turned 50. Part of those life changes have meant doing hard and scary things and I wanted to see myself differently. I wanted to feel beautiful, sexy and alive, so I decided to do one more hard and scary thing and booked a session.
Were you nervous about the shoot beforehand? If so, what were you most nervous about?
I was terrified beforehand - literally broke out in hives, I was so nervous. In school, I was one of those girls that changed for gym class in the bathroom stall. I don't even go around my house without a bra if there is someone else home. I was worried about being so exposed in front of other people and I was afraid I wouldn't like my photos.
Did you become more comfortable after the session started? If so, what helped to relax your nerves?
When I walked in, I was greeted like an old friend. I was told not to worry about my wardrobe and given the coziest robe to put on. We started with hair and makeup where I was liberally peppered with sincere compliments. We chatted and laughed and I began to relax as Holly worked her magic. Finally it came time to model some outfits and I took a deep breath and stepped out in front of Holly and Leslie where I was greeted with YES, Girl!! That is Hot! So much hype. From there it became easier and I stopped worrying about how my body looked.
What was your favorite part of the experience and why?
My favorite part of the experience was hanging with Holly and Leslie. It reminded me of teen sleepovers with all the gossip, laughter and playing dress up. Thankfully no one froze my bra, but some of my assets did get hosed down with water.
How did you feel during your session?
The session moved quickly. There wasn't time to obsess or worry, just lots of "yes girl" and enjoying being the center of attention.
Describe how you felt when you saw your images for the first time.
I was surprised and shocked when I saw my pictures. I truly didn't expect to like them and there were so many I actually loved.
How has your relationship with your body changed since your session?
I'll be honest, I'm still not in love with my body, but I'm more accepting of it. What absolutely floored me was my face. I haven't felt pretty in so long and to see my face as beautiful is a total confidence boost. I don't feel invisible any more.
What would you say to people who say they can't do a boudoir session because they are too shy, nervous, etc?
Do it. Do the shoot. Holly will work within your comfort zone and still bring out the sexy. You will surprise yourself! I started in a long sleeved PJ top and shorts and ended in a red lace teddy.
Anything else you'd like to add?
Don't let wrinkles, bad skin, your size (big or small) stand in your way. If you want to do it, do it, and do it for yourself!
