Holly Douglas has been Nashville’s top boudoir photographer since 2016, and throughout the years she has purchased and collected numerous pieces of size-inclusive fine lingerie so that her clients could have plenty of outfit options for their boudoir photoshoots. Unfortunately, Holly never had a studio with enough room to properly display this impressive wardrobe collection…until now! Holly Douglas & Co.’s new, spacious East Nashville boudoir studio has allowed us to finally create a beautiful and luxurious dressing area for our amazing clients. However, we strongly recommend following the rule of "less is more" when it comes to choosing jewelry for your boudoir session. Choose pieces that align with your personal style and the mood you want to create, but try to avoid large, bold pieces that will be distracting. Here are some suggestions:
Dainty Necklaces: A dainty necklace can draw attention to your collarbone and décolletage. Opt for simple chains with subtle pendants or consider layering multiple necklaces for a boho-chic vibe.
Delicate Earrings: Earrings can add a touch of sparkle to your boudoir photos. However, because many boudoir poses involve lying down or tilting the head, larger statement earrings (such as chandelier earrings or large hoops) can end up looking strange in your boudoir photos if they are swinging or hanging at a strange angle. A Simple Sheet or Blanket
Incorporating a simple sheet or blanket into your boudoir session can add an alluring element. These versatile accessories can create movement, add a sense of mystery, and evoke a feeling of sensuality.
If you are a little more on the modest side and not interested in posing completely nude for your boudoir photos, but you still want to push the envelope a little, posing with a sheet or blanket is an excellent option because the sheet or blanket can actually cover more of your body than a piece of lingerie would. However, because we make it obvious that you are nude underneath the fabric by keeping certain body parts exposed (like your arms, shoulders, legs, and maybe even a little cleavage), it is the implied nudity that makes these photos so sexy and daring!
On the other hand, if you are not modest at all and actually want to have a set of tastefully nude photographs taken, you can still pose with a sheet or blanket without being covered up at all! You could be dragging a blanket behind you as you walk nude across the room, for example. Or, you could be lying in the bed completely exposed, but with just a little bit of the bedsheet draped across your thighs. Ooh la la!
